Siȃn Roberts is a Teaching Fellow in the School of Education at the University of Birmingham. Previously she worked as an archivist for several years in Birmingham and elsewhere, and most recently was a postdoctoral Research Associate on the Leverhulme Trust funded Faith on the Air project at the University of Worcester. Siȃn has been involved in a number of collaborative heritage research and community engagement projects and is currently part of the Voices of War and Peace First World War engagement centre based at the University of Birmingham.
Siȃn’s current research focuses on the histories of humanitarian and educational interventions by British Quaker women in the twentieth century, and on educational interventions with displaced children in contexts of war. She has published a number of articles on these themes in journals including Paedagogica Historica and History of Education.
Siȃn is a trustee of the Birmingham based theatre in education company The Playhouse, and chair of the community history group Women’s History Birmingham.
