The ‘Childhood, Faith and the Media’ one-day conference is to be held on 17 November, 2016, immediately preceding the Joint Conference of the History of Education Society, UK and Australian & New Zealand History of Education Society, entitled ‘Sight, Sound and Text in the History of Education’, which is due to take place on 18-20 November, 2016, at the Abbey Hotel, Malvern, Worcestershire, UK https://www.sarova-abbeyhotel.com/.
The ‘Childhood, Faith and the Media’ conference is a plenary of the Leverhulme Trust-funded project, titled ‘Faith on the Air: a religious educational broadcasting history’, which was led by Professor Stephen G. Parker at the University of Worcester. Additionally, it will provide opportunity to engage in research-informed discussion of issues in religious broadcasting for children and young people in historical and contemporary perspective. Papers are invited on any aspect of the interfaces of childhood, faith and the media.
