
Dr Susannah Wright is Reader in Education in the School of Education, Humanities and Languages at Oxford Brookes University. Since 2018 she has also been Postgraduate Research Tutor for the School of Education and chairs the Humanities, Environment and Social Science sub-committee of the university’s Research Degrees Committee. Her key research and teaching interests relate to the history of education and childhood. Research and publications have focused on the themes of local studies of education and welfare, secularism, and war and peace. Her first book – Morality and Citizenship in English Schools. Secular Approaches 1897-1944 – was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2017. From 2014-2019 she was one of editors of History of Education, and before this edited the History of Education Researcher.
